2nd International Festival of Family Therapy - Rome 2012

I am writing this @ to update you about a very important event that will take place in Rome on June 7, 8, 9, 2012: the 2^nd International Festival of Family Therapy Children on the edge. Cultural dilemmas for the helping professions of which I am including the definitive program (http://www.accademiapsico.it/web/festival%202012%20programma%20inglese.pdf).

I am very pleased for the structure and the main topics that we have been able to build up with our International Scientific Committee on this crucial topic of the "Children on the edge".

I am very glad, too, for the generousity and availability of all the main speakers who will be coming totally self-funded. This conference, as it was for the Oaxaca one in 2006 (http://www.accademiapsico.it/web/oaxaca%20ing.pdf), has a different goal than many other family therapy conferences: we want to collect and to gather people who have solid experiences in working with children and adolescents in disadvantaged and marginalized social contexts. We want to learn about people who are doing fantastic job in very remote and unknown parts of the world, especially in the emerging countries, and to be able to invite them in Rome. Therefore we need "explorers" and a lot of money. All of you can explore in your own country and inform me about such experiences.

The conference will be supported by registration fees, and we hope by donations, too, therefore it is important that you will participate to this special event and spread off the news with your colleagues and in your working context.
