Tercer Congreso Internacional de Sociodrama
La Luz encuentra el camino
El primer Congreso Internacional de Sociodrama tuvo lugar en Portugal como resultado de una intuición de Manuela Maciel y su equipo de sociodramatistas, y fue titulado Miradas transparentes.
El segundo Congreso se llamó Las Sombras de la Sociedad y tuvo lugar en Estocolmo y Helsinki.
El tercero tendrá lugar en La Patagonia Argentina, lugar de comienzos. Su nombre es La luz encuentra el camino.
Es un encuentro de trabajo y estudio donde quien participe puede presentar su pensamiento en acción, sus reflexiones y las posibilidades que reconoce en el Sociodrama.
El número de inscriptos será limitado pues se espera que sea un espacio donde todos puedan encontrarse, conocerse y compartir.

The Third International Sociodrama Conference 2-5 September 2010.
Patagonia - Argentina
The
First International Sociodrama Conference was held in Portugal out of
an intuition felt by Manuela Maciel and her team of sociodramatists,
and was named "Transparent looks".
The
Second
Conference was named "Society's Shadows" and was held in
Stockholm and Helsinki. Where, during the closing session, it was
decided that the next one would be held in Patagonia- Argentina,
a place of beginnings, where the whales dwell.
It
is about gathering to
work, to discover and to study. Those
who participate will be able to present their thoughts put into
action, share their
reflexions and the possibilities they recognize in Sociodrama.
The
number of participants is limited, for during
the conference it
is expected to create a space where everybody can meet, get to know
each other and share.

Estimados amigos, amigas y colegas:
Quienes compartimos la organización del Congreso Internacional de
Sociodrama en la Patagonia Argentina - lugar elegido en Asamblea en el
anterior congreso que tuviera lugar en Estocolmo y Helsinsky - nos
preguntamos con mucha atención qué hacer con la coincidencia de fechas
entre el mismo y el Congreso de Psicodrama y Procesos Grupales a celebrarse en Brasil.
Habiendo presentado los primeros anuncios en el Congreso Iberoamericano el
día 1ero de mayo de 2009 en Quito, Ecuador, teniendo en cuenta que ya tenemos inscripciones de colegas que han comprometido su participación
y que nosotros también hemos contraído compromisos económicos, hemos
sopesado los diversos pedidos de cambio de fecha y a continuación expresamos nuestras conclusiones.
Consideramos esta simultaneidad como un fenómeno de un co-inconsciente
construído durante muchos años de trabajo continuado y creativo, de desarrollo de vínculos conscientes e inconscientes en un profundo proceso Tele ya descripto por Moreno y que se manifiesta sincrónicamente en dos espacios diferentes: uno de Psicodrama y Procesos Grupales en San Pablo Brasil y otro de Sociodrama y Sociopsicodrama en Patagonia, Argentina.
En un momento socioeconómico y político cultural tan particular, donde la
cooperación y el encuentro son y serán fundamentales en relación a "Quién Sobrevivirá" (Who shall Survive), se nos ofrece la posibilidad de trabajar juntos, conectar nuestras dos realidades, ayudados por el adelanto técnico que significa la red de Internet, cumplir el sueño de Moreno de trabajar en red, en conjunto, para una humanidad que necesita vínculos y relaciones sólidas más allá de distancias y espacios concretos superados
actualmente.
Es una excelente oportunidad para tornar algo que aparentemente es una dificultad,
en una construcción totalmente positiva, simplemente respondiendo a un cambio en el punto de vista de los protagonistas - en este caso los dos eventos - con respecto a las circunstancias.
En este momento nos alegramos de este compartir ... y sentimos el desafío
de llevar al Mundo un Congreso dispuesto a trabajar por la cooperación, la solidaridad y la
armonía; seguros que saldrá "lo mejor", porque creemos que cada uno está dispuesto
a eso y a poner en conjunto la diversidad para producir la unidad, incluyendo la
presencia de ballenas y otras especies.
Desde esta perspectiva, invitamos a todos ustedes a participar en uno u
otro evento, con sus diferencias, similitudes y complementariedades, manteniéndonos en
contacto. Así tal vez este pequeño Congreso Patagónico y el gran Congreso en el país
hermano de Brasil aporten conjuntamente la creatividad y el afecto que nos permita seguir
creciendo juntos.
Proponemos que en algún otro espacio de Europa, Asia, Africa, Oceanía o
cualquier otra parte del mundo, aquellos que no puedan asistir por cualquier razón a ninguno de los dos eventos, se reúnan y conformen su propia matriz trabajando en Psicodrama y Procesos Grupales como en Brasil, o en Sociodrama y Sociopsicodrama como en la Patagonia Argentina, ya sea on-line o luego compartiendo lo trabajado.
La invitación de parte de nuestro equipo organizador, por lo tanto, es a
utilizar nuestros conocimientos y nuestro método como un instrumento de ayuda y colaboración para quienes lo necesiten. Retomando los modelos planteados por "Escenas de los Pueblos" en la última crisis Argentina, en la que se organizaron diversos talleres simultáneos en numerosos lugares y países, o el movimiento "A Più Voci" que convoca a encuentros abiertos de Psico-sociodrama en Italia, organizado originariamente en la región del lago de Iseo por la "Cooperativa il Germoglio", con la participación de múltiples psicodramatistas.

Dear friends and colleagues:
As the organizers of the International Sociodrama Conference that will take
place in Patagonia Argentina in September 2010, for thus it was decided
during the previous
Congress in Stockholm and Helsinky, we have been carefully considering what
is to be done
about the overlapping dates of the Psychodrama and Group Processes to be
held in Brazil.
Having posted the first announcement of our dates during the Ibero-American
Congress on the 1st of May, 2009 in Quito, Ecuador;
taking into consideration that we already have colleagues that have signed
up to participate
and that we also have economic obligations to keep, we have given due
thought to various requests
to change the dates and have arrived at the following conclusions.
We are considering, therefore, this simultaneity as a co-unconscious
phenomena
built up over many years of continuous and creative work, developing
conscious or uncounscious relationships
through a deep Tele process already described by Moreno and manifesting
synchronically in two different places:
1) Psychodrama and Group Processes in Sao Paulo, Brazil,
2) Sociodrama in Patagonia, Argentina.
As we all know, we are now going through a very special social and political
moment wordwide.
Cooperation and encounter are fundamental from the "Who shall Survive" point
of view.
And here, a great possibility of working together is being offered to us:
connecting both our realities - and with the help of the technical
facilities of the Internet -
we have the opportunity of making Moreno's dream come true: to work on-line,
together, for a humankind in need of bonding and strong relationships beyond
distances and actual
venues.
This is an excellent opportunity to make a totally positive construction
out of something apparently very difficult to resolve, by simply changing
the protagonists point of view
regarding the circumstances, which in this case happen to be the two
different events in two places at the same time.
Right now we are happy about this sharing, we are ready to work for
cooperation, solidarity
and harmony, we are willing to put together diversity in order to produce
unity, including the presence of the whales
and other species as well.
From this perspective, we invite you to participate in either event, with
their differences, similarities and complementarities, but always keeping in
contact.
Thus, maybe this little Patagonian Congress and the big Congress in our
brother country Brazil,
can jointly bring creativity and affection, and allow us to keep on growing
together.
We also propose that in any other place in Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania or
anywhere else in the world,
those of you who cannot come to any of the two events, get together and
conform your own matrix
working in "Psychodrama and Group Processes" like in Brazil, or in
"Sociodrama and Sociopsychodrama" like in Patagonia, Argentina.
We can then share the work on-line or afterwards.
The invitation from the whole organizing team - therefore - stands:
Let us use our knowledge and method as an instrument to help and collaborate
with
those who need it. Following the models set up by "Escenas de los Pueblos"
(Scenes of the People),
a movement that happened during the last crisis in Argentina which invoved
several workshops

The Third International Sociodrama Conference will be opened with Dr.Monica Zuretti,(Argentina) analyst, psychodramatist trainee by the Moreno's and observer of whale behaviour as applied to human healing. Dr. Rene Marineau, (Canada) Moreno's Biographer and Marcia Karp, Moreno trained, enacting and telling about an experience of the healing energy of hump back whales in Mexico. For hundreds of years, hump backs are known for helping to move from one reality to the next and from one universe to the other.
Monica Zuretti and team will demonstrate the communication and the healthy group energy of the whales of Pategonia as applied to people who have unresolved interpersonal issues.
We have much to learn from natural phenomena.
For example, when one whale is dying, the whole pod stays with the dying whale. Also, whales are tender mothers.
The whole conference will go whale watching. The conference is not about whales but the gathered experiential and hard research will be included.
The conference will open with the above three people sharing and enacting their experiences of J.L and Zerka Moreno, the founder and the life partner/interpreter of Moreno's original ideas. These main concepts were psychodrama, group psychotherapy, sociodrama, sociatry, sociometry and many others either published or unpublished, to date.
There will be many others from around the world doing workshops on the use of sociodrama and psycho-sociodrama.

I have posted your announcement about the forthcoming sociodrama conference in Patagonia on my website: http://www.blatner.
Thank you for your pioneering efforts. I hope the proceedings are written up, and I would like to read what others have had to say about sociodrama at previous conferences. Ron Wiener is working up an anthology about this, and Eva Leveton in the USA has a book on sociodrama in press as I write this. So it's an idea that is gaining momentum.
Please look at that website and email me about details of other conferences, workshops, things that should be announced. I won't put up all the information, but will edit it down to essentials and note contact email addresses if possible.
Some details I don't know-- such as about the conference on Rostov-on-Don in Russia this coming year. If you can tell me more, I'll put it up there.
Skim around the other aspects of the website, too, please. If you are a trainer, take a look at the photo directory and consider sending me your photo and a caption. It would be nice if there could be more face recognition. It helps a little to build group cohesion.
There are many papers on psychodrama, sociometry, and so forth and I hope you'll feel free to download them, translate them into your own language, and make them available to your students. It's a wealth of possibilities.

Dear Marcia and All
I totally love and feel enthusiastic about the intention and decision of
connecting all over the world with our co-unconscious and co-conscious at
September 4 and 5 2010.
There are happening Psychodrama and Sociodrama congresses in Patagonia and
Also in S.Paulo and also in Brazil with the Transpersonal Association from
Pierre Weil.
I am very happy also to know that children from Moreno like Monica, Marcia
and René Marineau are holding hands and working together! 3 wonderful people
and including all the others that will be present.
Unfortunately from Portugal not many of us are going outside of the country
at this time. We will be having the Portuguese Psychodrama Society Congress,
the Conference about the scientific research, the spiral model workshop with
Kate Hudgins, the first international transgenerational conference with me,
Leandra Perrota, Maurizio Gasseau,Mark Wentworth, Roger Woolger and Anne
Schutzenberger and the Souldrama workshop in October with connie Miller. So
it is already enough! Ed Schreiber is coming again in May next year, 2011
We will be holding hands together in Portugal and participating in this very
important call from the children of Moreno: skype Tele, September 5!

I fear that I may becoming annoying, but I want to affirm the need for our professional standing among other non-psychodrama professionals that comes with publications.
In that sense, I have the fantasy that people at this conference are preparing notes that could in theory be written up, polished and edited just a bit, and made into a number of articles for one of our psychodrama journals. Perhaps a special issue on sociodrama?

Yummy! so much creativity, but in this world, I get the impression that there has been an increasing number of people in Europe, Australia-New Zealand, Korea, Japan, Turkey, Eastern Europe, Taiwan (just organized its community into a national organization), Central & South America, and so forth.
We need to increase the sharing of information about what's up. How many new institutes, books, trainees, what is the size of the community, how is the field diversifying beyond psychodrama into not only sociodrama, but also other methods, etc.
